2008 listings
Hi everyone a newbie to this forum.
I've been using XMLTV Gui Version 3.08.02w for a couple of months and it's been great no issues at all using the uk_rt grabber. Just starting to notice now that the 2008 listing are not showing....does anyone know why and what i have to do to resolve this.
any help much appreciated.

Hi,
Great program, I've been using it with WebShifter and its brilliant, thanks.
I am having the same problem with Radio Times data only providing data up to 31st Dec 07, do you have any info on what the issue is? If it's likely to start working again etc?
Many thanks, happy new year and thanks again for a great program.
David

It's mentioned on the Radio Times forums here, though with no input from anyone official yet: http://talk.radiotimes.com/forum.jspa?forumID=31

from radio times:
Hi Alan,
Hope you had a good Christmas.
Radiotimes.com recently moved to new hosting and the xmltv data feed is temporarily unavailable. We're working on this as a priority and will have it back up and running again shortly.
I'll get in touch once again once our infrastructure team have sorted it out.
Thanks
Simon

Windows users might like to look at http://www.geocities.com/pclareuk/DVBGuide/ though it seems to lack the categorisation that you get from RT. I don't really have the time to look at it properly right now. The application I'm using for recording, Webscheduler, doesn't seem to like the data much, but it looks better after having been put through XMLTV GUI.martint123 wrote:I'm getting nervous. Anyone any good at screen scrapers?
Given the lack of response from RT I'm not inclined to trust them in future even if it does get sorted out this time, so I'd be glad of any info regarding other alternatives.

I am using Web Scheduler 5.0.0.15 and the DVBGuide XML loaded straight into Web Scheduler. Just needed to re-map a few of the channels where the name differed from the Radio Times XML. The categorisation isn't as good and the descriptions aren't as verbose, but I think I'm going to stick with this source for the time being.sheepthief wrote: Windows users might like to look at http://www.geocities.com/pclareuk/DVBGuide/ though it seems to lack the categorisation that you get from RT. Well someone is doing something - the http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/ directory is giving a graphical 404 not found page now
I've managed to use a combination of using the bleb grabber, dvb epg and a bit of awk to provide some epg for my gbpvr box.
