Can you confirm the email alert is working?

My email settings are correct. I can see nothing in the firewall logs to suggest a problem but I do longer get an email alert that is has completed.

it works here. A few things to remember, it will only email after an automatic grab (ie when the program is started with /grab), it emails the log on exit. There should be messages about emailing present in the saved log file:

13:27:20 - Creating EMail
13:28:13 - Connecting and sending EMail
13:28:22 - EMail Sent

While I was testing interactively I'd forgotten about the grab (which is in my scheduled batch file).

Retesting with /grab still fails

ie C:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\settings>XmltvGUI.exe /Grab

I have tried the log file in

C:\Documents and Setting\<userid>\My Documents
and

C:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI as the log file locatioin

(I'm using XP Prof SP2 and logged in with Administrator privileges)

Now I get

are you sure the smtp server is correct? does it accept emails from the address xmltvrt@birtles.org.uk ?
