Hi Gary,

After reports of strangeness on the Toppy forums, I've been doing some investigating. There's definitely something funny going on. Looking directly at the Radio Times site, I can see all the files, however XMLTV GUI is unable to connect.

When it does connect, it's tripping over on ITV4. I know you said in another thread that it should be able to cope, but I think it's creating an error in the xml file (can't confirm, as I can't grab a new file).

Could you please have a look,

Sorry to follow up my own post - but some further investigation has yielded (what I think) is the problem.

In the ITV4 file, 1961.dat positions 40D3 and 40D4 have a (presumably illegal) null character. This is causing XMLTV GUI to generate an xml file with a hiccup.

I have copies of both the 1961.dat and the hiccuped xml file if you need them for bug finding.
