Unable to open / view data.xml file
Unable to open / view data.xml file
Hi Alan,
I have been successfully using DG2XML.exe for ages now, I have the skin installed on digiguide - happy days it works well.
I'd like to get a scheduled task sorted to pull the epg info from digiguide.
I have xmltv GUI 3.12 installed & digiguide grabber setup.
I can grab listings & outputs to c:\data.xml
however, when I try view the data.xml in XMLTV EPG viewer I get error:
"The file data.xml does not appear to be a Radio Times XMLTV file"
I know this is a error from XMLTV EPG viewer, but I can successfully view the .xml file I manually generated using DG2XML.exe (all works well with BSE)
Another thing i noticed was the file sizes.
the data.xml generated by xmltv GUI is 148MB
the epgdata.xml generated by Dg2XML.exe is 85MB
am i possibly doing something wrong in XMLTv GUI?
Thanks
Dave

Re: Unable to open / view data.xml file
The difference in size is probably due to formatting. Could you try zipping up the file and see if its small enough to post here.

Re: Unable to open / view data.xml file
Hopefully the following two files should fix the problem. I can't test it as I don't have a digiguide subscription at the moment.
Access details are in the sticky post at the top of this forum

Digiduide / DG2XMl working as normal...
I'm assuming the .lua location is correct?
Thanks

Re: Unable to open / view data.xml file
those files are empty. If you go to "view source" from the browser does it show any data??
