Hi!

I'm trying to run xmltvgui on my Ubuntu 6.06 box and I've got a bit of a problem...

./xmltv.sh
Exception EReadError in module XmltvGUI at 08082FA6.
Error reading EPassword.PasswordChar: Property PasswordChar does not exist.

... can anybody point me in the right direction to fix this?

have you downloaded kylixrt.gz from http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/KylixRT.gz and put the files in the program directory?
You then need to open a console window and cd to the xmltv directory and run:
./gen_scripts.sh
you should then be able to use the xmltv.sh script

the other possiblity is that the current linux build is broken (although no one else has complained) or incompatible with ubuntu. If you still cant get it to work i will have a look at it tonight

yes the build is broken. for the moment try an earlier build. i will try and get a new build out soon
