I did the Upload Attachment, but it doesn't seem to be in the posted reply - have I done something wrong, or did you get it?

2nd attempt at upload (zipped because XML extension is not allowed - you didn't tell me about that!)

Also - I had to remove Channel 4 and S4C, because even the zipped file exceeded the allowed upload size (you didn't tell me about that either!)

So this only contains Channel4+1 and Channel 4 HD, both of which appeared to be causing problems.

no need i think ive fixed it. download the latest version of xmltv_parse.lua from svn in the compiled/lib folder.
Replace strings.dat in C:\Program Files\DigiGuide TV Guide\schemes\server skins\DG2XML.dgscheme-web with the attached file

eh?

Do not compute " latest version of xmltv_parse.lua", or "svn", or "compiled/lib folder".
Maybe I sounded more intelligent than I am?

Please explain.

Ok - that didn't change anything I'm afraid.

Incedently, carrying on with my "try another and see" approach, I've discovered that all the following cause problems:

Channel 4 plus 1
More 4 plus 1
E4 plus 1
Film 4 plus 1

Notice something? Oddly though, neither ITV2 Plus 1 nor ITV3 Plus 1 cause any problems.

you may need to disable skin caching in digiguide, customise, advanced, web service, cache skins

I was about to add these to the list of "nogo" channels:

Channel 4 plus 1
Channel 4 HD
More 4 plus 1
E4 plus 1
Film 4 plus 1
five
five US
Five US Plus 1
FIVER
FIVER Plus 1
FIVER (Freeview)
Sky Three

However - I just saw your post about disabling skin cache and tried it. Suddenly FIVER (Freeview) worked! So I shall now try all those others in the above list and see how it goes.

Watch this space: " "....

BINGO!

Well done, Alan - you've cracked it.

The channels now all load in the Config of GBPVR. I will now have to set up all the channels in DigiGuide (having destroyed my original list) and then scan the channels for real in Config before importing the actual EPG into PVR.

Have a few beers to celebrate while this goes on (I will).

I will post back with the final result when it is all done (which will probably take an hour or so).

Ok - I've now got Config to accept all the 78 chaannels I put into DigiGuide. An interesting point aside is that I accidentally had one channel (CBBC) listed twice under different headings in DigiGuide. This stopped all others after the duplicate from being loaded by GBPVR Config. Once I'd removed the duplicate, all 78 channels loaded ok. Not a show stopper, obviously, but worth remembering if anyone else has problems.
